Sg Fireworks Festival

Annual Sg Fireworks Festival is now helding at Marina Bay over a four-day period at 2100 hours each night. There are 4 counties participating this year namely Italy, France, New Caledonia (where??) and Sg of cos.

Since my Sg labmate, who crazy for fireworks and wouldn't wanted to miss out any single fireworks performance, strongly encouraged us to go yesterday, treating as our very first lab outing, I agreed to join them eventhough I hate the crowd and actually not really interested in fireworks.

We have total 6 persons going, 3 gals and 3 guys, very balancing! We left the lab on 6.45pm, took shuttle bus to MRT, and our MRT reached City Hall on 7.20pm. Once stepped out from MRT, I started to regret :P WOW, horribly crowded!!! Since 9/8 is public holiday (well, Sg National Day), many ppl came out to watch the performance (well, sg ppl like fireworks a lot). We walked into B1 of Raffles City, searching for any restaurant with shorter Q, which was a bad idea!! Hence, we walked to Marina Sq, hoping to get less crowded eating place. Well, still disappointing but not surprising to find out that the crowd still the same. No choice, we waiting for some time for an empty table to fit 6 ppl, and Q for some time for the food! The whole diner thing finish at 8.45pm!! We then walked towards Marina Bay direction, just reached the so called golden area for fireworks according to my labmate, and the fireworks started right away very punctually at 9pm!! (worth to praise them for this punctuality, esp in our chinese society!!)

Yesterday was Sg team performing, which according to my labmate who watched Italy fireworks on last Sat, Sg performed better. I think it was not bad too, lots of different style and color, which matched their theme "city of colour". Some fireworks shooted really big and tall and it was like just above my head, amazing! All audience were watching with mouth open widely and the sound "wah!!!" keep coming out from them. Well, to make myself got the feel as one of them, I invited my China labmate to join them "WAH!!" too haha.... but too bad it just lasted for 10 min!! My fren told me HK disneyland actualy helding fireworks every nite for 1/2 hour and with music too!!! So I promised myself to watch it in my next HK trip. (JC told me I actually watched once in Tokyo DisneySea but I totally lost tiz piece of memory!! so not counted hehe...)

After fireworks, we walked slowly towards MRT station. It was really slow man... I think we reached City Hall MRT on 10+pm haha... because on the way we kept taking funny pictures of the pretty nite scene of Sg riverside while thinking to post different funny posture!!! But even reached there so late, the crowd still there and therefore we walked out of MRT station to Bras Basah Complex a 24 hr foodcourt for ice kacang!!! Hey, 10+pm for ice kacang ok??? haha... brand new experience (luckily no lausai after that)!! So finally 11pm we sayonara to each other, my other labmates took MRT back, while I walked to opposite for direct bus home. I reached my home at 12 midnite though, because waiting for the stupid bus for nearly 2-30min!!

Phew~~~ very exhauting but fun nite!!
