Italy Trip - Day 2 Venice

After have a decent length of rest after my first day travel log in Italy, here comes the day 2 :P

On the way to Venice....
another long-waited highlight in this trip :D

On board to famous and romantic Venice Island :)

Tour leader D said MUST TRY squid ink pasta in Venice....

So all of us had black tongue that afternoon hahahaa....
The pasta really REALLY delicious!!!! :D

Venice is full of dark valleys :P

A glass factory, compulsory in our itinery...
(for tour leader's extra earning i mean)

Demonstration of glass deco making...

Amazingly, this guy can make a horse in a minute!!!

So sad that we missed the chance to try gondola in Venice :(
With only 2 hours free time in such a big tourist historical and fun island,
we have to sacrifice some of the must-do activities.

Tour leader D, bringing a blue umbrella for us to follow him throughout the walk as there were tons of tourists walking along.

Random shots of the houses in Venice, still artistic.

Nice and artistic column.

Venice is famous of these masks.
There is an annual masquerade party in Venice which attracts thousands of tourists every year.

A but station in Venice, for water bus haha....

The famous Rialto Bridge, one of the two icons in Venice.

Photo taken from the Rialto bridge.

Grand canal taken from the Rialto bridge.

Doge's Palace

St.Mark Bacilliaca

Even the gate for the tower is soooo pretty ...
(taken when queuing for visiting the bell tower in St.Mark Square)

A bird-eye view from the tower

Wow, Mr.Galileo Galilei (the noble telescope inventor) visited this tower in year 1609!!

The eye-dropping architecture of St.Mark church.

One of the famous wall drawing of St.Mark church, illustrating the story how they smuggered St.Mark's body from middle east back to Venice in ancient time, by hiding him under pork meat hahaha....

With sister in St.Mark Square

another clock tower in St.Mark Square

Love this shot, the dove was so cooperate :)
FYI, I climbed this bell tower just now haha...

Posting in one of the canals is a must do haha...

Famous Victor Emmanuel II sculpture

Famous Bridge of Sigh, connecting the palace and the prison :P

Back to main land of Italy, sob sob.
Dinner started with salad.

Lagsana is still an appetizer

Main course -- chicken + potato, looks plain.

A new hotel near the highway.

The room looks new and clean :)

Modern looking bathroom, cant complain at all :)

End of Day 2 in Italy...
still missing Venice now...
